Soon after the completion of
the restoration of Baltit Fort, celebration
of traditional festivals has been initiated.
In this regard we celebrate the old harvest
festival of Hunza called “Ginani” between
June 21st to July 7th
every year at the Baltit Fort. Mir Ghazanfar
Ali Khan, other members of the royal family
of Hunza and nobles of this state, grace
these ceremonies. And a large number of
public, distinguished guests from all over
the world are participating to enjoy the
local music and food served at the Fort.
This event is usually sponsored by Baltit
Heritage Trust, Aga Khan Cultural
Services-Pakistan and Department of Tourism
and Sports (Northern Areas) Government of
Pakistan. |
